Purani Dilli 6, the semi-finalist of the 2024 edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL), have made exciting additions to their squad with several impactful picks during the Season 2 auctions held on Sunday in the national capital.

On Day 1 of the Manchester Test between India and England, an unfortunate incident took place, involving Rishabh Pant. Troubles began when he attempted a reverse sweep against Chris Woakes, only to be struck flush on the right foot.

However, he was seen in crutches on the last day and thanks to the historic 203-run stand between Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar, Pant didn’t need to bat on Day 5. However, he has been ruled out of the fifth and final Test.

Indisputably, Rishabh Pant was going to be the biggest name in the Delhi Premier League (DPL). He was retained by his DPL 2024 franchise, Purani Dilli 6 for the highest price bracket – 21 lacks.

Purani Dilli 6, one of the standout teams from the Delhi Premier League's inaugural season, has confirmed the retention of star wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant for the upcoming edition.

Rishabh Pant's penchant for playing premeditated, risky shots has repeatedly drawn both admiration and criticism, raising questions about whether he must control himself more prudently in international cricket.
